1. Park the Trailblazer on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood and locate the speedometer cable. It is attached to the back of the speedometer on the driver's side of the engine compartment.
3. Disconnect the speedometer cable from the speedometer by unscrewing the retaining nut.
4. Remove the speedometer cable from the engine compartment.
5. Install the new speedometer cable in reverse order of removal.
