The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. To access the fuel pump, you will need to remove the fuel tank.
Here are the steps on how to remove the fuel tank:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure. To do this, turn the ignition key to the "ON" position for 2 seconds, then turn it off. Repeat this process 3 times.
3. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel tank.
4. Remove the bolts that hold the fuel tank in place.
5. Lower the fuel tank.
6. Remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank.
Once you have removed the fuel tank, you can replace the fuel pump. Here are the steps on how to replace the fuel pump:
1. Install a new O-ring on the fuel pump.
2. Insert the fuel pump into the fuel tank.
3. Secure the fuel pump with the bolts that you removed earlier.
4. Connect the fuel lines to the fuel tank.
5. Raise the fuel tank and reinstall the bolts that you removed earlier.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
Start the engine and check for leaks.
