7. Install the new battery. Place the new battery in the battery tray and connect the positive terminal cable first, followed by the negative terminal cable.
8. Tighten the terminal cable nuts. Use a wrench to tighten the nuts that hold the terminal cables to the battery.
9. Close the hood of your vehicle.
