1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your vehicle.
3. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick, which is usually marked with a red or orange handle. It is typically located near the back of the engine compartment, near the transmission.
4. Pull the dipstick out and check the fluid level. The fluid should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the dipstick.
5. If the fluid level is low, add enough transmission fluid to bring the level up to the "FULL" mark. Use the type of transmission fluid recommended in your vehicle's owner's manual.
6. Reinsert the dipstick and close the hood of your vehicle.
Note: It is important to check the transmission fluid level regularly and add fluid as needed to keep the transmission in good working condition.
