How do you replace the horn on a 2000 Dodge Neon?

Tools Needed:

- Flathead screwdriver

- Phillips head screwdriver

- Socket wrench set

- Jack and jack stands

Instructions:

1. Park your Neon in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool down if it has been running.

2. Open the hood and disconnect the battery. This will prevent you from accidentally sounding the horn while you are working.

3. Remove the front bumper cover. There are a few screws and bolts that hold the bumper cover in place. Remove them and then carefully pull the bumper cover off of the car.

4. Locate the horn. The horn is located behind the front bumper, on the driver's side. It is a black, cylindrical object.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the horn. There is a small clip that holds the connector in place. Pry it open with a flathead screwdriver and then pull the connector off.

6. Remove the mounting bolts that hold the horn in place. There are two bolts that hold the horn in place. Remove them with a socket wrench.

7. Remove the horn from the car. Be careful not to drop the horn.

8. Install the new horn. Place the new horn in the same position as the old horn and secure it with the mounting bolts.

9. Reconnect the electrical connector to the horn. Push the connector back onto the horn until it clicks into place.

10. Replace the front bumper cover. Align the bumper cover with the body of the car and then push it into place. Secure it with the screws and bolts that you removed earlier.

11. Reconnect the battery.

12. Test the horn to make sure that it works.
