1. Park your Kia Cerato on a flat surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the oil filter on the left side of the engine block, near the top of the engine. The oil filter is a cylindrical-shaped component.
4. Unscrew the oil filter counterclockwise. Be careful not to spill any oil.
5. Dip the new oil filter O-ring in new, clean engine oil. Apply a thin coat. DO NOT over-tighten the oil filter.
Oil filter torque:
* Replace the old filter with a new one, tightening it to a torque of 20 Nm.
* Replace the oil drain bolt and tighten it to 25 Nm.
