Where is the blower resistor on a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue?

The blower resistor is located under the passenger side dash cover of your 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue. Here are the steps you can follow to access the blower resistor:

1. Turn off the engine and allow the vehicle to cool down.

2. Open the passenger door and remove the floor mat on that side.

3. Locate the lower edge of the dashboard on the passenger side. There will be a plastic panel covering this area, usually secured with a few plastic push pins.

4. Remove the push pins using a flat-head screwdriver or a trim removal tool.

5. Once you remove the push pins, the plastic panel should be loose and you can pull it down to reveal the blower motor assembly.

6. You will see a rectangular, finned aluminum or plastic device attached to the side of the blower motor assembly. This is the blower resistor.

7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower resistor by gently prying it apart.

8. You can now unscrew the blower resistor from its mounting bracket using a screwdriver or socket wrench.

9. Once removed, you can inspect the blower resistor and replace it if necessary. Make sure to install it securely in its place and reconnect the electrical connector.

10. Reattach the plastic panel to the dashboard, pushing it firmly in place until it snaps in or the pins are secure.

11. Replace the floor mat and close the passenger door.

12. Start the vehicle and test the blower motor to make sure the new blower resistor is functioning correctly.
