1. Locate the transmission pan from underneath the vehicle. The transmission pan is a metal pan located under the transmission housing.
2. Identify the transmission fluid drain plug. The drain plug is usually a 17mm bolt located on the bottom of the transmission pan.
3. Place a drain pan under the transmission drain plug to catch the draining fluid.
4. Use a 17mm wrench to loosen the transmission drain plug.
5. Allow the transmission fluid to drain into the drain pan.
6. Tighten the transmission drain plug when all of the fluid has drained out.
