Tools Needed:

- Ratchet

- Socket set

- Flat-head screwdriver

- Gasket scraper

- Intake manifold gasket

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the battery. This is a safety precaution to prevent any electrical accidents while you're working.

2. Remove the air intake system. This includes the air filter housing, air intake tube, and throttle body.

3. Remove the ignition wires from the distributor. Be careful not to change the firing order.

4. Disconnect the fuel injector connectors and carefully remove them from the intake manifold.

5. Remove the mounting bolts that secure the intake manifold to the cylinder heads.

6. Gently pry the intake manifold from the cylinder heads, using the flat-head screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the gasket surface.

7. Clean the intake manifold and cylinder heads with the gasket scraper, being careful to remove any old gasket material.

8. Apply a thin bead of RTV silicone sealant to the gasket mating surfaces of the intake manifold and cylinder heads.

9. Place the new intake manifold gasket on the cylinder heads, aligning the holes with the intake manifold.

10. Gently lower the intake manifold into place.

11. Install the intake manifold mounting bolts and tighten them in a crisscross pattern to the specified torque.

12. Reinstall the ignition wires and fuel injector connectors.

13. Reinstall the air intake system and reconnect the negative battery cable.

14. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes to check for leaks.
