The fuel pump on a 2004 Chevy Cavalier is located inside the fuel tank. To access the fuel pump, you will need to remove the rear seat and then the fuel tank. Once the fuel tank is removed, you will be able to see the fuel pump assembly. The fuel pump is held in place by a metal ring. To remove the fuel pump, you will need to pry the metal ring off of the fuel pump assembly. Once the metal ring is removed, you can pull the fuel pump out of the fuel tank.
