1. Locate the key fob's release button. It is usually a small button on the side of the fob.
2. Press and hold the release button while gently pulling the key fob apart. The fob should come apart into two pieces.
3. Locate the battery in the key fob. It is usually a small, round, coin-shaped battery.
4. Use a small flat-head screwdriver or other thin object to gently pry the battery out of its compartment.
5. Insert the new battery into the compartment, making sure that the positive (+) side of the battery is facing up.
6. Snap the key fob back together.
7. Test the key fob to make sure that it is working properly.
