How do you install fuel pump on a 1995 Chevrolet Suburban?

Tools Needed:

- Jack and jack stands

- Ratchet

- Socket set

- Pliers

- Flashlight

- Safety glasses

- New fuel pump

- Fuel line connector kit

Procedure:

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.

2. Engage the parking brake.

3. Jack up the vehicle and support it on jack stands.

4. Locate the fuel tank. On the 1995 Chevrolet Suburban, the fuel tank is located under the rear of the vehicle.

5. Disconnect the negative battery cable. This will help to prevent sparks and possible fire when working on the fuel system.

6. Locate the fuel pump module. The fuel pump module is located inside the fuel tank. It is usually held in place by a locking ring.

7. Remove the fuel pump module. Use the ratchet and socket set to remove the locking ring that holds the fuel pump module in place. Then, carefully lift the fuel pump module out of the fuel tank.

8. Inspect the fuel pump module. Check the fuel pump for damage or wear. If the fuel pump is damaged, it will need to be replaced.

9. Install the new fuel pump. If the fuel pump is damaged, install the new fuel pump. To do this, simply insert the new fuel pump into the fuel tank and secure it with the locking ring.

10. Reinstall the fuel pump module. Carefully lower the fuel pump module into the fuel tank and secure it with the locking ring.

11. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

12. Lower the vehicle from the jack stands.

13. Start the engine and check for leaks. If you see any leaks, tighten the fuel line connections until the leak stops.

Additional Tips:

* When reinstalling the fuel pump module, be careful not to drop it into the fuel tank.

* If you spill any fuel, clean it up immediately with a rag.

* If you are not comfortable working on the fuel system, have the fuel pump installed by a qualified mechanic.
