Problem
The vehicle runs but there is no power applied to the wheels (no movement).
Potential causes:
- Transmission pump failure.
- Low transmission fluid level.
- Blockage in transmission fluid (dirty or foreign material stuck in the path).
- Faulty shift solenoids.
- Shift linkage disconnected.
- Damaged or bent shift fork.
- Worn clutch (manual transmission).
- Faulty transmission control module.
- Damaged transmission case or housing.
- Vehicle engine trouble.
Solution:
- Check the transmission fluid level and add more if needed.
- Inspect the transmission fluid for any contaminants.
- Have a mechanic inspect the transmission pump.
- Have a transmission specialist check shift solenoid functionality and replace if needed.
- If the problem persists, the clutch, shift fork, and/or transmission control module may need to be replaced or adjusted.
