How do i change a speedometer cable on 1993 checy pickup?

1. Park your truck on a level surface and set the parking brake.

2. Open the hood and locate the speedometer cable. It is a black cable that runs from the transmission to the speedometer.

3. Disconnect the speedometer cable from the transmission. There is usually a small clip that holds the cable in place. Use a screwdriver to pry the clip off and pull the cable out.

4. Disconnect the speedometer cable from the speedometer. There is usually a nut or bolt that holds the cable in place. Use a wrench to loosen the nut or bolt and pull the cable out.

5. Remove the old speedometer cable from the truck.

6. Install the new speedometer cable. Start by inserting the end of the cable into the speedometer. Secure the cable with the nut or bolt.

7. Insert the other end of the cable into the transmission. Secure the cable with the clip.

8. Test the speedometer cable by driving the truck around the block. The speedometer should now be working properly.
