Where is the IAT Intake air temperature sensor on a Ford Econoline E-350?

The IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor on a Ford Econoline E-350 is usually mounted on the engine's intake manifold, near the throttle body. It is either screwed or clipped into the manifold. The IAT sensor helps measure the temperature of the incoming air and relays that information to the computer (PCM) for adjustments.

Here’s how you can find it:

1. Open your Econoline’s hood and locate the engine’s intake manifold. It’s usually positioned on the front and top side of the engine.

2. Near the intake manifold, look for a small cylindrical-shaped component.

3. That component should have a wire connector plugged into it. That wire connector runs to the computer.

4. The IAT sensor should be located somewhere around there – it’s normally screwed or clipped onto the intake manifold.
