How do you get a 1990 corvette to start if it turns over and the battery is good?

1. If the battery is completely drained, there could be a problem with your alternator, or one of the other components that generates power for the car.

2. Check fuel pump by turning on the key and listening for a running sound under the driver’s seat.

3. Have someone cycle the key on and off while you are under the car. Look at the fuel line coming out of the fuel filter to see if gas squirts out.

4. Pressurize the fuel rail by cycling the key on and off while you apply finger pressure onto the valve stem (Schrader valve) on the passenger side fuel rail. Gas should come spraying out.

5. Check if the fuel injectors are getting pulses via a NoId (normally open) light or backprobe tool.

6. Check the injector circuits using a digital volt meter (DVOM).

7. Check for spark while cranking the engine. Pull one of the spark plug boots and insert the end of an old spark plug (or you can buy an inexpensive spark tester). Have your friend crank the car and look for a bright white or blue spark jumping across the gap.

8. Remove a fuel injector line and place it in a clear container while someone else cranks the engine over or tries to start the car. Fuel should come spraying out with fuel pressure.

9. Check camshaft position sensor.

10. Verify computer grounds.
