2. Disconnect the wires from the brake light switch. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the wire connectors off of the terminals on the brake light switch.
3. Unscrew the brake light switch. Use a wrench to loosen the nut that holds the brake light switch in place. Then, turn the switch counterclockwise until it comes out of the brake pedal arm.
4. Install the new brake light switch. Screw the new brake light switch into the brake pedal arm by turning it clockwise until it is snug.
5. Reconnect the wires to the brake light switch. Push the wire connectors onto the terminals on the brake light switch until they snap into place.
6. Test the brake lights. Press the brake pedal to make sure that the brake lights are working properly.
