Before you begin any electrical work, it is important to disconnect the battery. This will prevent any accidental shocks or sparks.
2. Remove the steering wheel.
The turn signal switch is located behind the steering wheel. To remove the steering wheel, you will need a steering wheel puller. Follow the instructions that came with your steering wheel puller to remove the steering wheel.
3. Remove the turn signal switch.
Once the steering wheel is removed, you will be able to see the turn signal switch. It is held in place by two screws. Remove the screws and pull the turn signal switch out of the steering column.
4. Install the new turn signal switch.
Insert the new turn signal switch into the steering column. Tighten the screws that hold the switch in place.
5. Reinstall the steering wheel.
Follow the instructions that came with your steering wheel puller to reinstall the steering wheel.
6. Connect the battery.
Reconnect the battery. Test the turn signal switch to make sure that it is working properly.
