The blower motor for a 1997 Cavalier is tucked inside a plastic housing on the passenger side of the engine bay. To access the blower motor, follow these steps:
Open the hood of the car.
Locate the plastic housing on the passenger side of the engine bay. It is near the firewall and has a round, black cap.
Remove the black cap.
Unscrew the screws holding the blower motor housing.
Pull out the entire housing.
Remove the blower motor from the housing.
