1. Disconnect your battery.
2. Drain your coolant.
3. Remove the bolts holding the thermostat housing to the engine block.
4. Replace the thermostat and gasket; torque the thermostat housing bolts to 105 in-lb.
5. Refill your coolant.
6. Repeat steps 3 and 4 with the upper thermostat housing, if necessary.
7. Reattach the battery terminals and run your engine. Check for leaks.
3.5 Liter Engine
1. Disconnect your battery.
2. Disconnect the radiator hose from the thermostat housing located on the driver side of the engine block.
3. Remove the two 10 mm bolts holding down the thermostat housing.
4. Replace the thermostat and gasket.
5. Reconnect the radiator hose, attach the two bolts, and reconnect your battery.
