2002 Toyota Highlander - Starter (3.0L)

Removal procedure:

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the air cleaner housing.

3. Remove the battery tray.

4. Remove the starter mounting bracket bolts (3).

5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the starter.

6. Remove the starter heat shield (if equipped).

7. Remove the starter from the vehicle.

Installation procedure:

1. Place the starter into position on the vehicle.

2. Install the starter heat shield (if equipped).

3. Connect the electrical connector to the starter.

4. Install the starter mounting bracket bolts (3).

5. Install the battery tray.

6. Install the air cleaner housing.

7. Connect the negative battery terminal.
