1. Open the hood of your Windstar.
2. Look for a small, round, black valve with a hose attached to it.
3. The PCV valve is usually located on the back of the engine, near the top.
Installing the PCV Valve on a Windstar
1. Remove the old PCV valve by gently pulling it out of the engine.
2. Inspect the old PCV valve for damage or wear.
3. If the PCV valve is damaged or worn, replace it with a new one.
4. To install the new PCV valve, simply push it into the engine until it is seated.
5. Reconnect the hose to the PCV valve.
6. Close the hood of your Windstar.
Tips
* The PCV valve should be replaced every 30,000 miles or so.
* If you do not feel comfortable replacing the PCV valve yourself, you can have it done by a qualified mechanic.
