- 7mm Allen key
- 10mm socket wrench
- Ratchet
- E14 torx socket
- Flat-head screwdriver
Procedure:
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Locate the ignition coil that you need to replace. Each coil has a wire harness connected to it.
3. Disconnect the wire harness from the coil by squeezing the plastic connector and pulling it straight up.
4. Use a 10mm socket wrench to remove the nut that holds the coil in place.
5. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the coil off the spark plug. Be careful not to damage the spark plug.
6. Inspect the spark plug for damage. If the spark plug is damaged, replace it.
7. Insert the new coil into the spark plug hole.
8. Replace the nut that holds the coil in place.
9. Reconnect the wire harness to the coil.
10. Replace the engine cover.
Tips:
- It is recommended to replace all of the ignition coils at the same time.
- If you are replacing the ignition coils on a cold engine, it may be necessary to warm up the engine before starting it to prevent damage to the spark plugs.
