1. Locate the flasher relay. The flasher relay is located in different places in different Audi A3 models. Common locations include:
- In the fuse box located in the engine bay.
- Under the dashboard on the driver's side.
- Inside the trunk.
2. Remove the old flasher relay. Once you have located the flasher relay, remove it by gently pulling it out of its socket.
3. Install the new flasher relay. Insert the new flasher relay into the socket, making sure that it is firmly seated.
4. Test the flasher relay. Turn on the hazard lights to test the new flasher relay. If the hazard lights flash at the correct speed, then the relay has been installed correctly.
Additional notes:
- If you are replacing a faulty flasher relay, make sure to check that the new relay has the same part number as the old one.
- If you are experiencing problems with the turn signals or hazard lights, the flasher relay may be the cause. Replacing the relay is a relatively simple and inexpensive fix.
- If you are not comfortable with working on your Audi, you can take it to a qualified mechanic to have the flasher relay replaced.
