1. Locate the hood release lever inside the driver's footwell. It is usually located near the driver's left knee, under the dashboard.
2. Pull the hood release lever to release the hood latch.
3. Go to the front of the car and lift the hood.
4. Locate the secondary hood latch on the underside of the hood. It is usually located towards the front of the hood, in the center.
5. Press down on the secondary hood latch to release the hood.
Make sure to keep a good grip on the hood while lifting it, as it can be heavy. Once the hood is open, you will be able to access the battery and jump-start the car.
