1. Park your car on level ground and engage the parking brake. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
2. Locate the transmission fluid filler plug. It is usually located on the side of the transmission near the top of the transmission.
3. Remove the transmission fluid filler plug using the appropriate size Allen wrench or hex key.
4. Insert a funnel into the transmission fluid filler hole.
5. Add the appropriate amount of transmission fluid. The amount of fluid needed will vary depending on the vehicle model, so refer to your owner's manual.
6. Use the dipstick on your transmission to check fluid levels.
7. Replace the transmission fluid filler plug when the fluid level is correct.
8. Tighten the transmission fluid filler plug until it is snug.
