- Spark plug socket wrench
- Extension
- Ratchet
- Spark plug gap tool
Instructions:
1. Locate the spark plugs. The spark plugs are located on the top of the engine, under the ignition coil covers.
2. Remove the ignition coil covers. The ignition coil covers are held in place by bolts or screws.
3. Disconnect the spark plug wires from the spark plugs. The spark plug wires are connected to the spark plugs by rubber boots. To disconnect the wires, pull on the boot, not the wire.
4. Remove the old spark plugs. Use a spark plug socket wrench and an extension to remove the spark plugs.
5. Gap the new spark plugs. Use a spark plug gap tool to set the gap between the center electrode and the ground electrode of the spark plug.
6. Install the new spark plugs. Hand-tighten the spark plugs first, then use a spark plug socket wrench and an extension to tighten them until snug.
7. Reconnect the spark plug wires to the spark plugs.
8. Replace the ignition coil covers.
9. Start the engine.
