For the exterior latch (standard) or the interior hood latch (optional):
1. Pull the interior hood release lever towards you.
(The lever is located underneath the left side of the dashboard, near the driver’s door).
2. Go to the front of the vehicle and, holding the hood release handle on the underside of the hood with your right hand, lift the hood using your left hand so that the secondary catch disengages.
3. To fully open the hood, use the prop rod to support it.
For the interior electric hood latch (optional):
1. Pull the interior hood release lever towards you.
(The lever is located underneath the left side of the dashboard, near the driver’s door).
2. The hood opens electrically.
3. To close the hood, press the red release lever, located on the underside of the hood near the driver’s side hinge, to unlatch the prop rod, and then lower the hood.
4. Ensure that the hood is firmly latched at the secondary latch before you drive the vehicle.
