1. Open the bonnet and locate the battery.
2. Loosen the negative terminal clamp and remove the negative terminal from the battery.
3. Loosen the positive terminal clamp and remove the positive terminal from the battery.
4. Remove the battery from the vehicle.
5. Carefully place the new battery into the vehicle.
6. Reconnect the positive terminal to the battery and tighten the positive terminal clamp.
7. Reconnect the negative terminal to the battery and tighten the negative terminal clamp.
8. Close the bonnet.
That is how you change the battery of a Citroen Xsara Picasso. It's a relatively simple task, and it doesn't require removing the seat.
