1. Open the bonnet.
2. Locate the battery. It is in the front left corner of the engine bay, behind the air filter box.
3. Remove the battery cover. It is held in place by two plastic clips.
4. Disconnect the negative battery cable. It is the black cable with a minus sign (-) on it.
5. Disconnect the positive battery cable. It is the red cable with a plus sign (+) on it.
6. Remove the battery hold-down clamp. It is a metal clamp that holds the battery in place.
7. Lift the battery out of the car.
To reinstall the battery, follow these steps in reverse:
1. Place the battery in the car.
2. Install the battery hold-down clamp.
3. Connect the positive battery cable.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Replace the battery cover.
6. Close the bonnet.
