Where is the Mercedes S430 cabin filter?

Below is how you can replace your Mercedes S430 pollen cabin air filter.

1. First park the car in a level area and turn off the engine. Be sure the engine has been off for a long enough period of time to cool down.

2. Locate your cars cabin filter. On the S-Class (W220) it is behind the glove box.

3. Open the glove box all the way and gently remove the rubber door stops which hold the glove box open.

4. Gently pull the glove box down until it is no longer attached to the hinges. There are also two electrical connections that will need to be unplugged

5. Gently pull the glove box out further until you can see the cabin air filter.

6. To remove the filter pull the black tab out towards yourself gently. Once the filter is out, make note of its location so that you can put the replacement filter in the same way.

7. If the old filter has a lot of dust and dirt you may want to clean around this area with a vacuum.

8. Now insert your new cabin air filter. Slide the filter into the slots until it clicks into place.

9. Reinsert the glove box into its hinges and reconnect any electrical connections.

10. Be sure the glove box door shuts all the way and that the rubber stops are secure.
