1. Prepare the car. Disconnect the battery, remove the air intake hose, and drain the coolant. Raise the front of the car and place it on jack stands.
2. Remove the timing belt. Loosen the tensioner bolt and remove the timing belt.
3. Remove the timing chain cover. Remove the bolts holding the timing chain cover in place and carefully remove the cover.
4. Remove the old timing chain. Remove the bolt holding the timing chain tensioner in place and remove the tensioner. Remove the old timing chain from the crankshaft and camshaft sprockets.
5. Install the new timing chain. Install the new timing chain on the crankshaft and camshaft sprockets. Install the timing chain tensioner and tighten the bolt to the specified torque.
6. Install the timing chain cover. Install the timing chain cover and tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
7. Install the timing belt. Install the timing belt and tension it to the specified tension.
8. Refill the coolant and restart the car. Refill the coolant system and reconnect the battery. Start the car and check for leaks.
