1. Locate the transmission oil pan. It is usually located on the bottom of the transmission, near the front of the vehicle.
2. Look for a bolt or plug that is positioned near the bottom of the oil pan. This is the transmission oil drain plug.
3. Use a wrench or socket to loosen and remove the drain plug.
4. Allow the transmission fluid to drain completely into a suitable container.
5. Replace the drain plug and tighten it securely.
