- Place the bike on a flat surface.
- Set the kickstand on a solid, level surface.
- Turn the gas valve into the "OFF" position.
Step 2: Locate the oil level plug
- You can find this on the left side of the bike.
Step 3: Remove the plug and check the oil level
- Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to turn the oil level plug a quarter turn and set the screwdriver against the frame to make sure it is level.
Step 4: Top up the oil if needed
- If the oil level is below the top of the plug, add a small amount of oil through the fill plug at the top of the crank case until it reaches the correct level.
- Do not overfill with oil.
Step 5: Reinstall the oil level plug
- Replace the oil level plug.
- Turn the screw until snug, but do not overtighten.
