1. Disconnect the battery.
* This is the most important step, as it will prevent you from getting shocked while you are working on the starter.
* To disconnect the battery, simply loosen the negative terminal nut and remove the cable from the terminal.
2. Remove the starter cover.
* The starter cover is located on the right side of the engine, near the bottom.
* To remove the starter cover, simply remove the bolts that hold it in place.
3. Remove the starter motor.
* The starter motor is located inside the starter cover.
* To remove the starter motor, simply remove the bolts that hold it in place.
* Be careful not to drop the starter motor, as it is heavy.
4. Install the new starter motor.
* To install the new starter motor, simply reverse the steps that you followed to remove the old starter motor.
* Be sure to tighten the bolts securely.
5. Reconnect the battery.
* To reconnect the battery, simply replace the negative cable to the terminal and tighten the nut.
6. Test the starter.
* To test the starter, simply turn the key to the "On" position. The starter should engage and start the engine.
