2. Remove the seat. The seat is held in place by two bolts at the front and one bolt at the rear. Use a 10mm wrench to remove the bolts and lift the seat off of the motorcycle.
3. Locate the air filter box. The air filter box is located on the left side of the motorcycle, behind the battery. It is a rectangular box with a black plastic cover.
4. Remove the cover of the air filter box. The cover is held in place by two screws. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws and lift the cover off of the box.
5. Remove the old air filter. The air filter is a rectangular piece of foam. Lift it out of the box and discard it.
6. Install the new air filter. Place the new air filter in the box, making sure that it is properly seated.
7. Replace the cover of the air filter box. Screw the cover back in place.
8. Replace the seat. Slide the seat back onto the motorcycle and insert the bolts. Tighten the bolts with a 10mm wrench.
9. Start the motorcycle and test it. Turn on the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks around the air filter box. If there are any leaks, tighten the screws on the cover of the air filter box until the leaks stop.
