Instructions:
Step 1: Safety Precautions
Before beginning any work on your motorcycle, ensure it is parked on a flat, stable surface. Engage the parking brake and allow the engine to cool down completely. Wear appropriate safety gear, including safety goggles.
Step 2: Locate the Fuel Drain Screw
The fuel drain screw on the TTR 125 is located at the bottom of the carburetor, on the left side of the bike. It's a small screw, usually made of brass or silver-colored metal.
Step 3: Place a Catch Pan
Position a catch pan or container directly beneath the fuel drain screw. This will catch the drained fuel and prevent spills.
Step 4: Remove the Fuel Drain Screw
Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, turn the fuel drain screw counterclockwise until it is completely removed. Be prepared for the fuel to start draining immediately.
Step 5: Allow the Fuel to Drain
Allow all the fuel to drain from the carburetor and into the catch pan. Depending on the amount of fuel in the tank, it may take a few minutes.
Step 6: Replace the Fuel Drain Screw
Once the fuel has stopped draining, replace the fuel drain screw by turning it clockwise until it is snug.
Step 7: Clean Up
Use an old rag or paper towels to wipe away any spilled fuel. Make sure to clean up the area around the carburetor to prevent fire hazards.
Step 8: Disposal of Drained Fuel
Properly dispose of the drained fuel according to local regulations. Do not pour it down the drain or on the ground, as it can contaminate the environment.
Remember to always follow the safety instructions and guidelines provided in the owner's manual for your specific TTR 125 model before attempting any maintenance or repairs.
