• New oil filter
• Oil filter wrench
• 17mm wrench
• Funnel
• Oil drain pan
• New oil (refer to your owner's manual for the correct oil type and amount)
1. Run the engine for a few minutes to warm up the oil. This will help the oil drain more easily.
2. Turn off the engine and let it cool down for a few minutes to avoid the hot oil burning you.
3. Place the oil drain pan under the oil drain plug, which is located on the bottom of the oil pan.
4. Use the 17mm wrench to loosen and remove the oil drain plug.
5. Allow the old oil to drain completely into the oil drain pan.
6. Replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
7. Locate the oil filter, which is usually near the top of the engine.
8. Use the oil filter wrench to loosen and remove the oil filter.
9. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter. This will help to create a seal and prevent leaks.
10. Screw the new oil filter onto the oil filter mount. Hand-tighten the oil filter until it is snug, then tighten it an additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn. Do not overtighten the oil filter.
11. Use the funnel to add the recommended amount of new oil to the engine.
12. Check the oil level using the dipstick. The oil level should be between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.
13. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks around the oil drain plug and oil filter.
14. Turn off the engine and recheck the oil level. Add more oil if necessary.
