Possible Causes and Solutions for a Benelli 491 ST 50cc Scooter Not Working After Ignition Replacement:

1. Ignition Wiring Issue:

- Ensure the ignition wires are correctly connected to the ignition and the spark plug.

- Check for loose or damaged connections.

2. Spark Plug Issue:

- Verify if the spark plug is healthy. Replace the plug if it's worn out or fouled.

- Check the spark plug gap and ensure it's within specifications.

3. Fuel Supply:

- Make sure the fuel tank has enough fuel.

- Check the fuel line for any kinks or blockages.

- Clean the carburetor and fuel filter (if applicable).

4. Air Intake:

- Ensure the air filter is clean and not obstructed.

- Verify the air intake is free from debris.

5. Compression Issues:

- Conduct a compression test to assess the cylinder compression. Insufficient compression can cause starting problems.

6. Electrical Connections:

- Check the battery terminals for proper connection and corrosion. Clean and tighten if necessary.

- Ensure the kill switch is in the "Run" position.

- Examine the main fuse for any damage or blown fuse.

7. Starter Mechanism:

- Inspect the starter motor, relay, and solenoid to make sure they are functioning correctly.

8. ECU Reset:

- Depending on the model, some scooters may require an ECU reset after replacing the ignition. Refer to the scooter's manual for instructions.

9. Professional Assistance:

- If you've tried all these solutions and the scooter still doesn't work, consider seeking assistance from a qualified scooter mechanic.

Remember to follow the specific instructions and guidelines provided in the Benelli 491 ST 50cc scooter's service manual when troubleshooting ignition and other related issues.
