The oil drain plug is located on the bottom of the engine, underneath the oil filter.
Here is a step-by-step guide to removing the oil drain plug:
1. Collect the necessary tools and materials. You will need:
- A new oil drain plug gasket (usually included in an oil filter kit)
- An oil drain pan
- A wrench or socket that fits the drain plug
- Safety glasses
- Gloves
2. Prepare the bike. Place the bike on a center stand or rear stand. Make sure that the bike is level and stable.
3. Locate the oil drain plug. It is usually located on the bottom of the engine, underneath the oil filter.
4. Place the oil drain pan underneath the oil drain plug. Make sure that the oil drain pan is large enough to catch all of the oil that drains from the engine.
5. Loosen the oil drain plug. Use the wrench or socket to loosen the oil drain plug. Be careful not to drop the oil drain plug into the oil drain pan.
6. Allow the oil to drain from the engine. Allow the oil to drain completely into the oil drain pan. This may take a few minutes.
7. Replace the oil drain plug. Once the oil has drained, replace the oil drain plug. Make sure to tighten the oil drain plug securely.
8. Dispose of the old oil properly. Take the oil drain pan to a recycling center or auto parts store for proper disposal.
