Locate the starter on a 2000 Toyota Corolla as follows:
1. Open the hood of your Corolla.
2. Locate the battery on the driver's side of the engine compartment.
3. Follow the positive battery cable to the starter motor.
4. The starter motor is located on the bottom of the engine, just above the transmission.
5. It is held in place by two bolts.
