How do you kickstart a Suzuki DR600 R?

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Before starting the motorcycle, ensure it is in neutral and the kill switch is in the "RUN" position.

2. Locate the kickstarter lever on the right side of the motorcycle, under the carburettor.

3. Place your right foot on the kickstarter lever, ensuring that your heel is positioned on the ground for stability.

4. Firmly press down on the kickstarter lever, using a smooth and powerful motion.

5. As you push the kickstarter lever down, simultaneously push down on the de-compression lever (located on the left handlebar) with your thumb. This helps to reduce the compression resistance in the engine, making it easier to kick-start.

6. The motorcycle should now start. If not, repeat the above steps, ensuring you are applying enough force to the kickstarter lever and releasing the de-compression lever at the right moment.

Note: Kickstarting a motorcycle can be challenging and requires practice. It's important to use a smooth, powerful motion and to find the "sweet spot" where the engine compression is released. Be patient and don't be discouraged if you don't get it right away. With time and practice, you'll master the art of kickstarting your Suzuki DR600 R.
