1. Turn off the ignition and allow the engine to cool down.
2. Locate the seat lock release. It is a lever located under the rear of the seat and should be marked with the letter "R" or the word "Release."
3. Use a flathead screwdriver or key to turn the seat lock release lever counterclockwise.
4. Lift the seat up and off the motorcycle.
5. To reinstall the seat, simply position it on the motorcycle and lower it until it locks into place.
