Who makes mini cooper engines?

Mini Cooper engines are currently made by BMW.

This is because BMW acquired the Rover Group (which included the Mini brand) in 1994. While Mini Cooper cars are still built in Oxford, England, the engines are designed and manufactured by BMW in Germany.
