How do you tell if your Windstar engine is a 3.8l or 3.0l?

The easiest way to tell if your Ford Windstar engine is a 3.8L or a 3.0L is to look at the engine itself.

* Visual Inspection: The most straightforward method is to locate the engine displacement stamped directly onto the engine block. This is usually near the top of the engine, on a relatively flat surface, and will clearly say "3.8L" or "3.0L". It might be cast into the metal, and therefore may require cleaning to be easily visible.

* Vehicle Identification Number (VIN): Your VIN contains information about your vehicle's specifications, including the engine. You can decode your VIN using online tools or by contacting a Ford dealership. However, visual inspection is quicker and more direct.

* Owner's Manual: Your owner's manual should specify the engine size.

While other methods exist, the direct visual identification on the engine block is the most reliable and fastest way.
