1. Park your Peugeot 406 on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Locate the front wheels. The ABS sensors are located on the inside of each front wheel, near the wheel hub.
4. Use a jack and jack stands to safely raise the front of the car until the wheels are off the ground.
5. Use a wrench to remove the lug nuts that hold the wheel in place.
6. Remove the wheel and tire to expose the brake rotor and hub assembly.
7. Locate the ABS sensor. It is usually mounted on the back of the brake rotor or on the wheel hub.
8. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ABS sensor.
9. Use a wrench to remove the bolts that hold the ABS sensor in place.
10. Replace the ABS sensor with a new one.
11. Reattach the electrical connector to the ABS sensor.
12. Reinstall the wheel and tire.
13. Lower the vehicle and remove the jack and jack stands.
