On a 2002 Ford Windstar with the 3.8L Vulcan engine, the IMRC (Intake Manifold Runner Control) actuator is located
on the intake manifold itself. It's not a standalone easily accessible unit. You'll need to look at the top of the intake manifold; the actuator will be integrated into it and likely have a linkage connected to the runner control system. It's usually towards the center or slightly towards the rear of the manifold.
Because it's integrated into the manifold, access will require removing or at least partially disassembling parts of the upper intake to see and work on it properly. This is a job best done with the engine cool and potentially with a repair manual to guide disassembly and reassembly.
