2008 ford diesel unleaded fuel in tank?

Putting unleaded gasoline in a 2008 Ford diesel engine will cause serious damage. Diesel engines are designed to run on diesel fuel, and gasoline has different properties that will not lubricate the engine properly. This can lead to:

* Damaged fuel injectors: Gasoline can damage or destroy the fuel injectors, which are expensive to repair or replace.

* Damaged fuel pump: The fuel pump may be damaged due to the different viscosity and properties of gasoline.

* Engine damage: Lack of lubrication can lead to catastrophic engine failure.

* Increased emissions: The engine may run poorly and produce excessive emissions.

If you have accidentally put unleaded gasoline in your 2008 Ford diesel, do NOT start the engine. You should immediately contact a roadside assistance service or tow truck to have the vehicle towed to a qualified mechanic. The fuel tank and fuel system will likely need to be drained and flushed to remove the gasoline before the engine can be safely started. Ignoring this can lead to very costly repairs.
