The crankshaft position sensor (CKP) on a 1993 Chevy Lumina with the 3.1L V6 engine is located on the
passenger side of the engine block, near the
rear of the engine,
towards the bottom. It's usually mounted to the engine block itself and points towards the crankshaft pulley.
It's often a small sensor with a single wire connector. Because of its location, you'll likely need to get under the car or use a mirror and light to get a good view of it. Be careful when looking for it as the area can be tight and potentially greasy.
