Where is the Crankshaft Position Sensor located on a 1986 Fiero?

The Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) on a 1986 Pontiac Fiero is located on the passenger side of the engine block, near the bottom of the engine, behind the timing cover. It's a relatively difficult sensor to access, often requiring removal of various components to get a good view and reach it for replacement or inspection.
